I could make a cheap sexual comment here but I won't. I'd like to know... what's the general timeline to complete a sculpt to keep a line on schedule? Basically from beginning of actual sculpting to the time all final modifications and approvals have to be made. I'd assume that there's only a certain window to get things done in.

I'd also expect there to be an occasion where there's a last minute change requiring the midnight oil to be burned.

That all depends on the line. Movies are usually the toughest, though. You can't get any good reference until very late in the movies production. So, that makes it hard for us to take the time we'd really like.

Once we do get reference, it's rush, rush, rush! The sculptors usually have about six to eight weeks to work on a major project.

Most prototypes go from concept, to a tooling pattern, in about 10 weeks. [img]smile.gif[/img]

What about the average cycle from sketch to shelf? I know stuff we saw LAST SUMMER is just getting ready to hit shelves with S25.. and Jimi has just recently hit.

Just wondering when you started the sketch process for 25 (for example)

How much work or man hours go into something that never happens like Regan from the Exorcist?
Do you guys work up a finished product, just a 2-Up, some sketches?

Looking at the pic of Kid Rock-(what were you thinking ) it looks like he was ready to be packaged up and sent out the door.
